Fátima Chinita Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema

Has a PhD in Art Studies by the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon and a Master in Communication Sciences - Culture and New Technologies by the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the Nova's University of Lisbon. She teaches at the Lisbon Theatre and Film School since 1995.


Has a Bachelor’s degree in Cinema by the School of Theatre and Cinema and a degree in Mod­ern Lan­guages​and Lit­er­at­ure – Por­tuguese and Eng­lish Stud­ies by the Fac­ulty of Arts of the Uni­ver­sity of Lis­bon.
As a researcher, she is cur­rently con­nec­ted to the Inter­me­dia and Inter­mod­al­ity Stud­ies Research Cen­ter (IMS) in Väjxö – Sweden and the Labcom.IFP in Cov­ilhã.
It is also a col­lab­or­ator of the Cen­ter for Arts and Com­mu­nic­a­tion at the Uni­ver­sity of Algarve (CIAC) and an effect­ive mem­ber of sev­eral research asso­ci­ations in audi­ovisual abroad.

Author of The (In)visible Spec­tator – Reflectiv­ity in the Spec­tator Optics in INLAND EMPIRE, pub­lished by Liv­ros LABCOM.
Reg­u­larly par­ti­cip­ates in con­fer­ences and writes about Meta­cinema, Self-reflex­iv­ity, Nar­rat­ive, Copy­right Stud­ies and Inter­me­dia.
