Pedro Ribeiro Jornalista

Born in Coimbra, Pedro Ribeiro, from a young age, decided to pursue a journalistic career. His first job was at a pirate radio, and after that followed “Diário de Coimbra”, TSF, “Jornal de Coimbra” and the newspaper “O Jogo”.


In the early 90’s he spent time in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, where he did an internship at radio and television Onda Jerez. At the same time he also took a Spanish course.

After returning to Portugal, he started working at RDP Antena 1, in 1991. He was nominated Coordinator of the Regional Center of RTP – Radio and Television of Portugal – on March 1st 2014.

Pedro Ribeiro likes the blogosphere. He runs four blogs that he created over the past few years: one dedicated to roller hockey, another to his journalism works, and three about photography.

He already made three photographic exhibitions: two in Coimbra, another on in Montemor-o-Velho; One about Coimbra and two about the several countries he is familiar with – Brazil, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Turkey, Latvia, Slovenia, Germany, England and Poland.

Besides photography he likes sports and cinema, and he speaks English, Spanish, French and German.
